Partner Picharn Sukparangsee, head of our tax practice group, was the Chairperson, giving the opening address on the opening day of the conference.
He then moderated a round table discussion on "Effective Tax Planning Strategies for AEC 2015 and their Impact on Businesses in Thailand". Such round table discussiomn included:
tax restructuring 2012;
development of tax planning strategies; and
dealing with a developing tax system.
Later in the day, Picharn Sukparangsee gave a talk on "Practical Corporate Tax Planning Strategies"
The aims of the conference were to offer business and networking opportunities, to understand tax processes and interpretations for official tax planning, learn about up-to-date government policy and scenarios on restructuring the tax system for AEC 2015, as well as knowledge and idea sharing. It is more crucial than ever for tax practitioners, both foreign investment enterprises and corporations, to keep abreast of what these changes are, and the real implications and impacts on their businesses in Thailand.
The conference was organised by Asia Business Connect, Thailand's leading training and conference organiser.
