Experience

Nisa Akarawuttiwong is an associate lawyer practicing in the field of corporate and commercial law. She advises corporate clients, both foreign as well as domestic, on a broad range of matters, including: cross-border transactions, foreign investments, and commercial contracts such as joint venture agreements, shareholders agreements, franchising agreements and licence agreements. She also handles cross-practice matters in relation to intellectual property rights, particularly trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets and unfair competition. During her practice as a foreign lawyer in Singapore with a renowned law firm, she developed and managed its South East Asia practice.  She built networks, nurtured relationships and brought on-board a plethora of clients (individuals, companies, law practices and authorities) in the region, as well as from India and China. During this period, she assisted a Thai professional association with its establishment in Singapore, and she gained extensive and significant experience of foreign direct investments in Thailand and Singapore.

Career and Education

Nisa Akarawuttiwong joined Chavalit Law Group as a member of our Corporate & Commercial Practice Group in 2011. From 2008 – 2011, prior to joining our office, she worked as a foreign lawyer in Singapore with Central Chambers Law Corporation and Dacheng Central Chambers LLP. She trained in the Business Reorganisation Office of the Legal Execution Department and the Debt Administration and Legal Department of the Export-Import Bank of Thailand. She also trained with an acclaimed city law firm in Bangkok, assisting its commercial litigation practice. She is a qualified Notarial Services Attorney and was admitted to the Thai Bar in 2004.
