Sombat Bhawaworrapan is a skilled highly experienced and specialized litigator and dispute resolution lawyer, having practiced for over a decade in the fields of both civil and criminal litigation. He has handled various types of contentious casework, including commercial and construction disputes and other disputes involving building control law, intellectual property rights, administrative law, maritime law, and family law matters. He is also well-versed in matters of legal compliance, having previously been responsible for overseeing that the operations of an international manufacturing enterprise fully complied with all applicable domestic as well as international laws, regulations, and environmental standards in force. Among his previous representative experience, he has recently assisted a major Japanese production company in a copyright infringement controversy and licensing dispute litigated before the Central Intellectual Property and International Trade Court.

Career and Education
Sombat Bhawaworrapan joined the Chavalit Law Group as a senior member of our litigation and arbitration team in 2010. Previously, he was a professional lawyer with the Dispute Resolution Practice Group at the global firm Baker & McKenzie Ltd in Bangkok. Prior to that, he was employed at Thai Yazaki Corporation, where he was instrumental in establishing the Thai Yazaki Group’s Legal Affairs department in adoption of the worldwide automotive instruments manufacturer’s law compliance policy based on the standard model used at its Japanese headquarters. He commenced his professional law practice specializing in litigation as an attorney with a notable local city firm.
