Takashi Kusumoto is our executive consultant taking care of Japanese clients in Thailand and Japan. His focus is on M&A, joint ventures and investments, using his extensive knowledge of finance and cross cultural communication skills. During his career in Thailand, Japan, United States and Saudi Arabia, he has coordinated numerous joint ventures and M&A deals, as well as distributorships, whilst working for a trading firm and a bank. In 2004, he acted as financial advisor for the first acquisition of a Japanese company in Tokyo by a Thai company: a major development in the global corporate arena that made headlines worldwide.

Career and Education
Takashi Kusumoto joined Chavalit Law Group in August 2010 as Executive Adviser for Japan Relations. prior to joining Chavalit Law Group, he was Executive Vice President of CIMB Thai Bank Company Limited (formerly known as BankThai PCL), Investment Banking Division. During his eight year tenure at CIMB Thai, he closed several M&A and joint venture deals whilst acting as financial advisor and managing a large loan portfolio for his clients. Prior to his position at CIMB Thai, he worked in New York and Seattle, USA, for seven years as a corporate executive of Daimaru group. In 1998, he set up a software company (Daimaru Communications USA Inc.) in Bellevue, WA, to accommodate the increasing needs of software localisation. Earlier, in the 1980s, he resided and worked in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, where he was a regional manager of Daimaru Group.
